Olivia Palermo was born in February 1986 in the United States to Douglas Palermo and Lynn Hutchings, a successful real estate developer and well-known interior decorator. She spent her childhood and teenage years on the Upper East Side of New York City and in Greenwitch, Connecticut. She went to the best schools and studied at a private university. She herself has never hidden the fact that behind her success is an influential dad. It is even said that Olivia Palermo served as a prototype for the role of Blair Waldorf from the cult series “Gossip Girl”.

Career breakthrough: MTV show

Palermo gained fame and recognition when she participated in the reality show “The City” (pronounced “Lights of Manhattan”), broadcast on MTV in 2009. Its aim was to show the struggle of New York it-girls. A large closet and a lot of clothes and accessories as well as an amazing sense of style helped Olivia to gain a lot of fans
