Tranquillity Essential Oil Blend: The perfect way to wind down

It takes approx. 4 minutes to read this article

Essential oils have a remarkable ability to relax the body and induce tranquillity, making them an ideal way to wind down after a long day at work or school. One of my favourites is the Tranquility Essential Oil Blend, made up of two of the most potent essential oils in existence – frankincense and lavender – with supporting ingredients including patchouli and clary sage. Read on to learn more about this blend and how it can help you relax after your busy day!

What is it?

Tranquillity is a blend of Lavender, Sweet Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, Ylang Ylang and Cedarwood that was created with the intention of reducing stress and promoting relaxation. It has a light scent that’s not too overwhelming and can be used on its own or mixed in with another carrier oil like jojoba or almond. Tranquillity may help promote relaxation when added to bath water, diffused in the air, applied topically or inhaled from a bowl of steaming water. The best time to diffuse Tranquility is between 5-7 pm so it can help you unwind before bedtime. There are many different ways to use this wonderful essential oil blend; some people apply it directly to the skin for direct relief, others use it as an aroma lamp, and still, others create a soothing foot soak. You can also place two drops in your palms, rub them together and cup your hands over your nose while breathing deeply through your nose. When creating a foot soak for relaxation make sure you add approximately 20 drops of Tranquility along with Epsom salts (1/2 cup) and baking soda (1/4 cup) into hot water at room temperature then dip feet for 10 minutes max.

How does it smell?

This is a wonderfully earthy scent, with hints of vanilla, lavender and chamomile. It blends well with other oils or can be used on its own. This is not a floral scent by any means, but it is calming and grounding. You can apply this oil directly to your skin using the dropper that comes in the package, or add it to bath water. I love adding this oil blend to my bath water at night as I find it helps me unwind and destress from my day.

It also has a nice warming sensation which feels wonderful after being in the bath for a while. Another thing you can do with this oil is used it to make an aromatherapy diffuser necklace! Simply fill up the small vial of essential oil, screw on one end and then attach both ends together around your neck so that the vial hangs just below your collarbone. Then take a chain and wrap it around both ends of the chain so they are held in place against your chest. Now when you move around, you’ll be spreading the relaxing aroma wherever you go!

How do I use it?

Tranquillity is a calming blend of lavender and chamomile oils. It can be used in various ways, such as diffusing, applying topically, or inhaling steam. To use it for topical application, dilute 10 drops in 1 ounce of carrier oil and apply it to your skin. To inhale the steam from the essential oils, boil a pot of water on the stove and add 5-10 drops of Tranquility essential oil. Then lean over the pot with your head covered by a towel or blanket so that you can breathe in the vapours without getting burned by them. You should not do this if you have epilepsy or are pregnant. How long does it last?: Your bottle will contain 15 ml, which will last 2-3 months if applied once per day.

What are some ways I can use this oil blend in my life?

1) Diffuse the blend into your home or office space.

2) Add a few drops of Tranquility to a bath.

3) Put a few drops on your pillow for a night of relaxing sleep.

4) Put it in your diffuser for an instant and uplifting mood boost any time of day!

5) Massage with this oil blend for relief from tension and relaxation.

6) Apply to your temples, back of the neck, or bottoms of feet for headache relief.

7) Apply as needed to soothe minor muscle aches and pains.
